Do you remember the Shamrock Smoothie from McDonald’s?! How good was that?! But not so good for you! Here is a great way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day while still staying healthy and feeling good! This smoothie includes spinach and avocado to make it green. Avocado in a smoothie may sound weird, but it actually gives it a great, smooth and creamy texture. The base is unsweetened almond milk. You can use another nut milk of your choice,  but be sure to find a brand with no sugar.  I also added banana, cinnamon, honey, almond butter and coconut manna. Hope you enjoy! Shamrock Green Smoothie


Shamrock Green Smoothie

1 cup unsweetened almond milk

1/2 frozen banana

1/2 ripe avocado

1 handful fresh spinach

2 tablespoons almond butter

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon coconut manna (optional)

healthy shake of cinnamon

handful of ice

Combine all ingredients in a blender (I prefer my Vitamix!) Blend on high until creamy. Poor into a cup and enjoy!
