I am passionate about helping my clients reach their health and wellness goals.
Welcome! My name is Amy and I am a Certified Health Coach. I grew up outside Philadelphia in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania and moved to Dallas in 2005 for my husband’s job. At the time, we had a 1 year old and a 3 year old and I was pregnant with twins. To say the least, I came here kicking and screaming. But honestly, I love Dallas, and we have a wonderful life here with so many amazing friends! My husband, Bruce, who is my very best friend, is a cardiologist and we both share a common passion for health and wellness. And our four small kids….now all teenagers. They are my greatest gift and my greatest joy. In 2013, once they were all in school, I decided to pursue my passion and go back to school for nutrition. In 2014, I graduated from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
While there, I studied under the foremost leading experts and doctors in Functional Medicine and Nutrition. I learned about many different dietary theories, how food can be our medicine and heal our bodies from the inside out and the theory of bio-individuality, that every person is unique therefore what works for one person may not for for the other. Each person has different and very specific health and nutritional needs.
I also learned the connection between mind and body, and how what we put in our bodies effects the way we feel.
You should also know that I am a foodie! I love food and everything about it. It fuels my body, gives me energy, brings me pleasure and satisfaction. I love to cook, I love to eat, and I love what happens at a meal. The discussion, the camaraderie, the bonding. Most of all, I love that food can heal us and that real, whole foods, free of sugar, preservatives and chemicals can taste really, really good! I believe in an anti-inflammatory way of life. Eliminating foods that cause inflammation and replacing them with foods that encourage health. My goal is to help my clients and followers discover simple lifestyle changes that are sustainable by providing guidelines that are simple and easy to follow. I love sharing my healthy recipes and tips to help people reach their goals and live their best life. I also believe in moderation…no diets, but the occasional indulgence. Life is too short to not enjoy, but too long to not take care of yourself!
So if you are on a journey, or have a story to tell, if you love food, being healthy, enjoy family and friends, follow along with me.
Life is meant to be well lived, well intentioned and well loved!
