Smoothies are one of my most favorite treats!  I make it in my Vitamix, but any high speed blender will do!  This recipe is one I have adapted. It constantly changes and I alter it slightly, but here is the basic recipe:

Favorite Green Smoothie

1 cup almond milk (I prefer Silk Brand, Vanilla Unsweetened. Some brands add carageenan as an ingredient and there are mixed opinions about the safety of this food additive)
1/2 frozen banana
1/2 cup blueberries
1 heaping cup of spinach
2 tbsp. natural peanut butter ( make sure no sugar added and only peanuts and salt!)
1 tbsp. raw honey (do not add if making a Vegan smoothie)
2 tbsp. raw cacoa powder (optional, but I love the chocolatey taste and it has so many health benefits!)
1tsp. maca powder (optional as well)
1 tbsp. hemp seeds (optional)
Ice cubes

Add all ingredients to blender. Mix on high for 1-2 minutes or until well blended. Enjoy and feel full of vitality and energy!
