Burger night doesn’t have to mean you stick with regular old beef burgers! These Lamb Burgers will surely convince you to think out of the box. The Greek spin with lots of fresh herbs and spices makes these burgers juicy, flavorful and so yummy. Fresh herbs like mint, oregano and parsley and spices, like cumin and garlic salt, blend together to make these the most mouth watering burgers you have ever had.

You have so many options for toppings, too. Tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, Kalamata olives, avocado and roasted chick peas all made it on to my plate but don’t stop there. Be creative and customize your lamb burger any way you want!

Ingredients:

2 lbs ground lamb

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp fresh mint, chopped

2 tbsp fresh oregano, chopped

3 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp garlic salt

1/2 tsp kosher salt

1 tsp fresh ground pepper

Olive Oil

Optional Toppings:

Lettuce

Tomato

Red Onion

Avocado

Cucumbers

Feta Cheese

Kalamata Olives

Directions:

Heat an outdoor grill to medium-high heat.

In a large bowl, combine the lamb with all remaining ingredients. Mix well. Form into 8 even patties. Place on a tray and keep in the refrigerator until you are ready to grill.

Oil the hot grates with a brush to prevent sticking. Place the lamb burgers on the grill. Cook for 5-6 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 5-6 minutes, or until the lamb burgers are cooked through and just slightly pink in the center, or until desired doneness.

Remove from the grill and serve with a Greek Salad or your favorite toppings! Enjoy!
