This is seriously one of my most favorite smoothies! It is especially great for women and our eratic hormones. Even if you are not in menopause yet, chances are your hormones are starting to wreak havoc. This smoothie should help balance hormones and also end sugar cravings. Maca and flaxseeds are both very helpful for those annoying hormonal symptoms. Cauliflower, being a cruciferous vegetable, can also help reduce estrogen dominance, which is often a problem women have pre-menopause. More then anything, I love the way this smoothie tastes and it keeps me full for a long time!

Ingredients:

8 oz. unsweetened almond or cashew milk (You can also sub unsweetened coconut water)

¼ frozen banana

¼ cup of frozen wild blueberries

2 handfuls spinach

¾ cup frozen cauliflower

1 scoop protein powder (Optional, I like Sprout Living, Epic Chocolate Maca)

1 tsp maca powder

1 tbsp almond butter (no sugar or oil added)

1 tbsp ground flax seed meal

Dash of cinnamon

1 tbsp hemp seeds

1-2 dates (optional to add sweetness)

Directions:

Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender (I use a Vitamix!). Blend well until smooth. Add more liquid if needed to help make it smooth. Enjoy!
